PRINCE OF TROY (Saracen's Prince of Troy)

GRAY COLOR CHAMPION - FLEECE 2010!! He is healthy, spunky and absolutely gorgeous! He picked up his grey locks from both his maternal grandfather, NERUDA, and his father, SARACEN.

His maternal grand-sire is the stunning Patagonia's Neruda-one of the top herdsires & cornerstone grey herdsire from Alpacas de la Patagonia-giving them their "FINEST black & grey fleeces that are virtually free of medullated fiber". He was recently sold at the 2007 Futurity Show and Sale for $205K! Neruda's crias are easily identifiable by their extremely fine fleeces, beautiful heads, substantially thick bone & extensive fiber coverage. Neruda's current stud fee is $5,000.

This little guy's sire is the multi grey champion (2 in 2006) SARACEN from High Meadow Alpacas. His lineage includes MFI Scimitar, CPeruvian Silvio, PPeruvian Leon and 6Peruvian Dom Timbo! Scimitar's outstanding fleece has the same elite qualities in gray as Shaquille, Saracen's uncle, who sold in 2005 for a grey male world record of $310,000. Saracen's paternal grand-sire, Silvio, has extremely dense silver gray with a flawless confirmation and perfect bite. Silvio's sons also include Peruvian Black Knight. Saracen's maternal grandsire is Peruvian Dom Timbo - a dense, typey, dark silver grey with excellent fleece character. He was the very first huacaya male chosen in the 1998 Peruvian import, even before the accoyo males. He passes on his dense and uniform crimp, characters exceedingly rare in grey alpacas.

His father, Saracen, received 1st Place in the 2008 Southern Select fleece show! And Troy is following in his foot-steps winning COLOR CHAMPION in 2010!

Troy is expecting his first cria in the fall 2011.

Stud Fee regularly $1,500 1/2 price sale = $750

Awards Received
2011 - 1st place - MOPACA fleece

- 2nd place fleece (1/2 point out of first!) - Palmetto Alpaca Classic
Due to an injury, he did not show in halter in 2010.
