Your Southern Connection To All Things Alpaca

Arcadia Alpacas

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern middle Tennessee, our 105 acre farm is the home to 25 hucaya alpacas. With a start up herd of 7 alpacas in 2006, we expanded our initial herd with two 2006 crias and one 2007 cria. In 2008 more spring crias arrived. Our breeding program has led us to some of the top bloodlines offered. We have a gorgeous boy sired by NWA Ltd. Finito. Our spring crias' sires include MFI Lethal Weapon, Supreme Hustler, and Saracen, all multi-ribbon winners and proven genetic champions noted for their supurb crias.

Our true black, Penelope - bred to MFI Lethal Weapon - blessed us with a beautiful little girl on April 30, 2008. This same little girl took first place in her class and color champion at 2009 Southern Select. Are we proud, or what? By the way, Penelope is bred back to MFI Lethal Weapon for a 2010 cria.

Another blessed event took place on New Year's day, 2009 when our sweet Hannah gave us a precious little guy. Quite a rose grey beauty he is .The baby daddy is none other than American President. Not to be outdone, on April 29, 2009, Emma added another boy to our herd with an astounding dark grey and silver boy out of HM Emperor. Both these boys show great potential.

Along with the Spring crias, we've added to our herd by purchasing five additional girls. Two of the new ladies are Dom Lucillio girls - a gorgeous bay black currently bred to the magnificant Jetson, and a fantastic beige currently bred to the ultra magnificant Pulitzer. We also have girls bred to Gathering Storm and Navarone. All these boys are multi-ribbon winners well recognized on the show circluit.

Spring 2010 definitely rocked at Arcadia Alpacas. We were blessed with a gorgeous fawn guy from the Rosalynde/Gathering Storm breeding. He's a real looker. Penelope/Lethal Weapon gave us a little fawn girl who is every bit as magnificant as her full sister, Lethat Shadow, who took back to back championships at Southern Select 2009 and 2010.

Our surprise was a stunning golden boy out of Everything Nice, a Dom Lucilio girl, and Jetson. You'll just have to see this one to believe it, and you'll be seeing a lot of him. He's got all the best of his grandpa, Dom Lucilio, and his great grandpa, Royal Fawn.

We have five crias on the ground in 2011, and what beauties they are!  The fleece just gets better every year.  We have an absolutely stunning little girl, Rumm Ruffle, out of a breeding with our Dom Lucillio girl, Everything Nice, and the gorgeous, award winning Rumm Runner. We also have an MFI Gathering Storm, a Pulitzer, a Navorone, as well as a beautiful Saracen cria to brag about this year.  You'll be seeing them all in the show ring.

Our magnificent herd continues to grow and scoop up honors in the show ring. Our impressive, back to back Grand Champion, Lethal Shadow, was bred to MFI Grindstone to produce an outrageously gorgeous, true black little girl, Shadow Dancer. We have not had her in the show ring yet, but she has received blue at two fleece shows! Fall 2013 brought us a batch of adorable little guys including our first appaloosa! These cuties have some very impressive bloodlines and it really shows! This is a really special group of boys to watch as they progress toward herd sire status. By the way, we also had two equally special little girls as well. Our own golden boy bred to our Dom Lucilio gal, Luz de Estrella, put a precious beige cria (Amazing Grace) on the ground. Not to be outdone, Emma, bred to MFI Gathering Storm, produced an equally impressive light fawn girl - Sundae Surprize! We pride ourselves in prioritizing our business. Herd health is of up-most importance, of course, and we seek every opportunity to attend seminars or other educational events to further advance our knowledge. Likewise, we are very selective in our breeding program with the objective to continuously improve the quality of fleece production. One look at our herd and you can see that it is is working!
