Winning photos receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in each category.  1st will receive Vendor Bucks to use in our Vendor Area. (VB awarded if at least 3 or more entries per catagory) ,  The Judge’s Choice photo (if awarded - must have 18 entries total)  winner will receive $15VB.

Categories

  1. Alpaca(s) interacting: at least one alpaca interacting with other animals (including alpacas), humans or inanimate objects.
    2. Cria: A pre-weanling alpaca caught in that special moment
    3. Farm Scene: Your picturesque farm photo that includes at least one (1) alpaca.
    4. Humor: Those alpaca photos that just make you laugh.
    5.  Black and White: must include at least one (1) alpaca and have artistic merit.
    6.  Computer Enhanced: Use your computer skills and imagination to enhance that favorite alpaca photo with a computer graphics program. Computer enhanced photos DO NOT include photos taken with warming, cooling, polarizing, diffusing, softening or neutral density filters.

Competition Rules

  1. All are welcome to enter photos in the contest.
    2.  All photos must include at least one (1) alpaca
    3.  All entries must be "new" photos.  Do not enter a photo you have previously submitted to a show.
    4.  
    All entries will be displayed at the show.
    5.  Submitted photos must be 5” x 7” and matted with a white matt and mailed with entry form (attached below) to:

    5.  Photos must be first-time entries in a photo contest.
    6.  Permission to publish these photos is granted by virtue of entering this contest. All rights are released to Southeastern Alpaca Association.
    7.  Maximum number of photos per farm is four (4).
    8. All entries must be postmarked by February 21, 2017.
    9.  All photos will be judged for content, composition, creativity and how well they depict the category.
    10. Winning entries become the property of Southeastern Alpaca Association and may be published on their website.
    11. All entries may be picked up after 3:00PM Sunday, March 5, 2017.
    12.  NO PHOTO CONTEST ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE SHOW

Fees

The entry fee per photo is $10. An entry form must be completed for EACH photo and can be mailed along with photo(s). Make checks payable to Southeastern Alpaca Association.

 Photo Information Label

Affix a label to the back of each photo containing the following information: category, caption, photographer’s name, farm name, phone number. DO NOT WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE PHOTO.
